Christmas Day!!

Merry Christmas!!! We are picture taking fools now that we have our new digital camera (Thanks MOM!!!). We have got to be the most spoiled couple in the world, we got everything you can think of. Anyway we spent Christmas with Abby's family in Idaho Falls and had an awesome time!

This is Abby, Her Mom, and Her Sister Katie

This is Abby stretching after a hard day of opening presents

This is the new outfit Abby got me for Christmas, no, we did not get this picture out of GQ magazine

This is Abby and her nephew Andrew, as you can see he had his fair share of chocolate

The day after Christmas we headed back to Rexburg and opened more presents that my mom sent us from Texas (I told you we are spoiled). This was Abby's favorite by far, a new purse!!

This was one of my favorite presents my mom sent me, some new house slippers!

We really had an awesome Christmas and we want everyone to know that we LOVE YOU SO MUCH and missed you if we didn't get to see you!!!

Check out the new Crib...

These are some pics of the house that Abby's parents are building. Its right on the Snake River outside of Idaho Falls, Idaho. It's going to be really cool when it gets done, check it out...

This is the front of the house, yes that is snow for all you Texans.

This is thier living room, all of those windows overlook the river, pretty cool huh?

This is the basement where their theatre room is going to be.

Finally, here is the shed and the picture below was taken from their backyard.

Haha, we are having a White Christmas!!

I imagine that most of you that are reading this cannot look out your window and see snow, so we wanted to post some pictures of snowy Idaho for you enjoyment...

And now the after shot of Paxton's hair. Our great friend Mike has done an EXCELLENT job and we are all happy now. Too bad Pax gives cheesy smiles to the camera. Oh well- what can you do.. you've all seen him in person... he's a cutie.
Now... we are waiting now for our friend Mike to come and cut Paxton's hair because it's getting way long... and I wanted to take pictures of him before he cut it and show everyone because it's just so cute. We also parted his hair in some of the pics . And the pics at the end are from awhile ago- he sent them to me in an email and it just made me laugh so hard. Even now i look at these pics and just laugh so hard. I love them- he's so cute. Haha.
hahahaha... love the alfalfa in the back... he's so goofy.
Now here he is with his hair just down- no part... without gel. I think it looks cute.
I LOVE THIS ONE- it just makes me laugh everytime.
HAHAHA. i love this one too.
Aww. My cute little Pax- looks like it's his first day of school.
Is that an evil face or what? I just love it because he looks like such a dork with his parted hair, but he looks like a serial killer too!

Christmas is almost here!!

So, yesterday, Saturday was the FIRST chance we've both had to go Christmas shopping!! Christmas is here in like 2 weeks and we just barely started our shopping. That's so aweful. I absolutely love this time of year- shopping for all the family and friends. It's so fun to find gifts you know they're all gonna love. And it's just sad that we've had such a late start. Pax and I went yesterday and got ALL of our shopping done-- in like 10 hours! Amazing. We also did our own grocery shopping in there too. We're pretty good. ha- and exhausted. We were just so tired and sick of shopping and sick of eachother and sick of making decisions- it was more stressful than my usual Christmas shopping experience. But we're done now for the most part and a lot of stress is off our back.
Now Paxton just has to deal with finals this coming week and then he's done for the semester- til January 4th for the Winter semester to start. And I'll be taking classes also! I recently got a job on campus as a tutor for Biology 264- Anatomy and Physiology. I'm way excited. It'll be really good for me because I need to refresh a lot on that class. It'll be fun. I also hopefully will be working in the Fitness Center(gym) next semester. If so, i will be super super busy with all my hard classes, work, and tutoring, and everything else. It should be fun though.
This weekend we're going to SLC for Ryan and Jill's big WEDDING!! Yay.. we're so excited. It has come up so quickly- i remember when Jill was counting down the days and she was at like 87 or something. haha- time flies. Probably not for them though- haha- i remember being engaged- well and it wasn't that long ago but it sure was fun.
Anyway, all is well here in the Hobson home in Rexburg. We're excited for our first Christmas together and hope all goes well with everyone else.
-Peaceout-

My Baptism

Today in Sunday School, the teacher asked everyone to take out a sheet of paper and write about their baptism day and their feelings. I went a little further and wrote about some other things in addition to my baptism that are important to me. I wanted to post it so anyone could read it if they would like. It's really neat to look back on our lives and think about everything we have been through. Hope you enjoy!!

__________________________________________________
My Baptism

I was baptized on September 28, 1998 when I was 16 years old. When I was around 14 I became very curious about religion and following God. My best friend was Mormon and taught me a lot but I was not sure if I believed everything in their religion. I went to other churches (Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, etc.) to look at what they had to offer. I liked them, but I did not feel like either was the “right church”. I then decided to go with my friend to the Mormon Church. Right when I walked in the doors I felt an overwhelming peace and comfort. The members came to greet me and tell me that I was welcome. As I listened to what was being taught it answered many questions that the other religions could not answer. The doctrine that was taught to me felt like someone was handing me the missing piece of the puzzle that I had been searching for (ex. three degrees of glory, work for the dead, and eternal families). Once I had that missing piece I felt complete and confident in my life and my purpose here on earth.
I was baptized after I received the missionary discussions by my best friend, Brian Tony Rawlins. My family and many friends were there and the spirit was strong. Since my baptism I have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost, received the Melchizedek Priesthood (December 24, 2000), baptized my best friend Jacob Swanson, served as a Stake Missionary, served a full-time mission in the San Fernando, California Spanish-Speaking Mission (September 12, 2001-2003), attended BYU-Idaho with an accounting major and business minor, and I was sealed to my wife Abby Elizabeth Myers (October 6, 2006). My life has been greatly blessed and I often feel humbled when I think about everything God has done for me when I feel so undeserving. I was born into a loving family that has always cared for me and looked out for me, and who are always happy and positive about life. All my life I have always felt that the Lord is watching over me, looking out for me, and encouraging me to do what I need to do on earth so I can return to His presence after this life.

Will it ever stop???

This is a picture of my poor baby on Davy Jones (our couch, I will explain the name later) who has been sick for two weeks now! She has had mostly flu symptoms (sore throat, cough, fever, congestion, nausea, muscle aches, puffy eyes, etc.) and is always tired. At first, we thought she was pregnant! But we went to the doctor a few days ago and found out that it was just a viral infection. They usually take about two weeks before they leave your system so were hoping she will be better soon. And yes, I have been taking good care of her: feeding her, giving her pills, making her hot chocolate, and telling her she's still beautiful (I really mean it). I did tell her I wanted my wife back the other day but that is neither here nor there.
So why do we call our couch Davy Jones? Well, we bought our couch at Deseret Industries (The D.I.), and for those who don't know the D.I. is like a goodwill. Anyway, we thought we got a good deal on this couch until we noticed all the chest hair in between and under the seat cushions!! I am not even joking chest hair everywhere, at least we hope it was chest hair... Anyway, so after we cleaned it all up we gave it the name Dead Man's Chest and it just evolved to Davy Jones somehow. So that's the story. Even though Abby is sick we are still having fun and had a terrific Thanksgiving with her family!! We went to Hamer, Idaho (her aunt's house) and had a lot of turkey, rode 4-wheelers, and sat in the hot-tub. Her Uncle is a potato farmer and they have a lot of land and a lot of potatoes, in fact, we got to take home a big box of Real Idaho Potatoes!! Peace out

Yeah Right, She's the weirdo!

Okay, so I am sure that you guys all read the last posting that my wife put on our blog. She explained how weird I am, etc..... Well, I am here to tell you that she is more weird than I am. Reason #1: She has this weird idea in her head that were not "together" enough because she works and I am at school a lot. That is fair that she thinks that, but when it really gets weird is when she thinks that were not "together" enough even when we are actually physically together! For example, last night we were lying in bed together and cuddling, and in a voice like a pouting 5 year old she says: "Baby, I want to be with you." (No, not that kind of be with me). I said "baby, what are you talking about, how much more can we be together? We are cuddling!" She laughed and realized she was being a weirdo. Reason#2: She drools more than anyone I know, sometimes I feel like I am swimming in a pool when I accidently touch her pillow. For example, I woke her up from a nap today and I looked at her pillow and (I am not even joking) there was a drool spot the size of a large grapefruit. The funny thing was, is that she had only been napping for about 45 minutes. Later tonight she asked me "Baby, I don't understand, how do you not drool?" I laughed. Reason #3: She whimpers in her sleep. It is the wierdest thing but every 15 minutes it sounds like someone is about to break her arm because she whimpers in her sleep. The first few nights we were married I thought something was wrong, when we would wake up in the morning I would say "hey were you not feeling well last night?" She would say "what are you talking about, I slept great last night." So apparently she has no clue that she makes these sounds, not to mention she talks in her sleep, usually taking pizza orders from customers. Anyway, I love her and could not ask for a better wife!!

Lovin and Livin

Well, another week gone by, and we've been married over a month now! It goes by so fast. It is coming to the end of another semester for Paxton, meaning only ONE more semester till he graduates, and only one more semester till we move to Dallas! Yikes! It's comin up quickly. We both have registered for our Winter semester classes and at least I can't wait till it starts! It's gonna be way busy, but a lot of fun to start up again. I have lots of pretty hard classes that will totally keep me busy, plus a job, plus Paxton! How do I do this? Who knows.. but we'll figure it out.
So lately I've been realizing what a super weird husband I have. He is just SO random with the outbursts of singing/rapping/monologues/one-liners/and who knows what! And I remind him how weird he is probably everyday! But I sure do love it- I was thinking what it would be like without his weird-ness, and life would just be way too boring. For a festive thought: I am very thankful for my random weird adorable husband, Paxton Hobson!

Ciao*

More PICS

The cute dip pose- I got a little surprised, happy, excited, or something!!

Here are even more pics Heather sent us for our blog from the Dallas reception! We love em and want to develop and frame some of them- they're cute.

Here is MY cake from the reception! It's SO yummy and SO beautiful! It is white chocolate cake( i think) with cream cheese frosting!! YUMMMMM!

Here we are ready to drive away in Steve's Mazda Miata! It was fun to ride in the car home to Paxton's mom's house on the highway. We got tons of honks and stares and laughs! My dress was so poofy it took up my whole side of the car. Good thing i didn't drive. And check out the big smile in the corner of the pic. Cool Rawl! We're glad you're happy for us! :)

Feeding eachother the cake- we made promises we wouldn't make a mess and shove it in eachother's faces- it's too messy. Didnt wanna stain the dress and tux! But after I took that bite of cake, it was SO good I wanted more... but had to wait.

The hand pose- don't our rings look good!? :) And look at the BEAUTIFUL bouquet!

Still No Pics

Well, we've been married 3 weeks now and it seems like we've been married 3 months- in a good way. We're still madly in love and just busy with our own schedules. Paxton is super busy with his classes and tutoring. He's getting a little sick of it I think and just wants to move to Dallas and start a real job soon. A semester and a half is all he has left till he graduates!! We're so excited. And I still work at the same place, getting lots of hours, trying to earn our monthly rent. It's fun to finally get everything moved in and pictures up on the walls- it feels like a home now. We went to Target and Bed Bath and used up a lot of our gift cards on things we needed. And we still have quite a bit of money left- that's always nice. Thanks everyone for the gifts, gift cards and money- we appreciate it tons!!
Every once in awhile there are super funny things that happen that we wish we had a digital camera to take pics of them and put them on here. We are hoping to get a digital camera for Christmas. But it's funny because we always say, "We can write that on our blog!" and stuff. Some examples of such occasions are like when we went to the Distribution Center to get all of our temple clothing. Then we brought it home and we didn't open any of it until a few days later when I was putting everything together- then we realized we were missing Paxton's white pants. We knew we had bought them but didn't know where they were, so Paxton was searching for the receipt... in the huge dumpster outside on a freezing Sunday morning. I was in the house and realized that I had the receipt in my purse. So I ran out to tell him and he was digging in the huge dumpster, with all these bags goin everywhere. It was pretty funny. The other one that i actualy want to record Paxton doing is his pelvic thrust with a Tropicana Orange Juice carton to cars driving by 2 floors down!! It is hilarious not only because he is so skinny and it just looks funny but the face he makes is super funny! haha. I love him. He makes things interesting and i don't know what i'd do without him. We are still living happily ever after. We'll keep doing updates on the silly things Paxton does and one day have pics!

We're married!

Hey! There is a lot to catch up on.
So first of all, we are finally married now as of one week and 3 days ago! And we're pros at being married we've decided. Just kidding, but we are still madly in love and definite newlyweds. We went on our short honeymoon to Santa Barbara and Los Angeles California for Friday night, Saturday, and half of Sunday. We stayed at Paxton's friend's uncle's "pottery barn", which was an extra little honeymoon home in their backyard. It was really nice and they were so nice and took care of us. It was lots of fun. We walked on the beach. We didnt' play in the water because California water is a little cold, especially in October. But we sat on the beach long enough to see lots of dolphins jumping and diving right by the surfers. It was really cool but we were too far away to get a good picture of them. Digital cameras sure come in handy then, but unfortunately we still need one of those.
Anyway, after our honeymoon we had to get back into our lives again. Paxton went back to school and tutoring accounting, and i went back to work for another week. Then we flew to Dallas on Friday afternoon for a reception there. His mom and sister planned this reception. It was at a really nice reception center. It turned out to be beautiful. The decorations, the flowers, the food, the cakes; everything went wonderfully. My parents flew down with us for the reception and then they headed to Austin, TX to see some other family. But it was a lot of fun to see all of Paxton's family and friends. They are always so much fun. The most exciting part of that trip was Sunday!! I'll explain: On Friday when we got there we hung out with Brian and Jeni. I was so wishing that Jeni would have her baby while we were there so we could see her before we left and didn't have to wait a couple months or more to see her. So Friday and Saturday came and went with no delivery. Then Saturday night we all went to a Mexican restaurant to eat, then afterward went to Chris and Heather's home (Paxton's sister's) and went in the hot tub and played a game. Anyway, Sunday morning Jeni goes into labor and delivers cute lil Natalie at 11am! Yay. We found out at 6am that she was at the hospital and I was super excited. So anyway, Pax and I went to the hospital to visit Jeni and the baby and it was so fun. Natalie is so cute, but I was sad I didn't get to hold her or anything, cuz they were washing her and stuff. Anyway, that was fun.
But the day got even better... NOT. So our flight was at 3 to go to SLC then we had to drive to Rexburg for another 3 and a half hours. When we landed into SLC, we went to pick up our bags, but one of them was missing!! Cool lost bags... first we could only find one out of three. Then Paxton searched for a half hour for the other two and found one more. He kept searching for another hour for the other one and talked to the baggage claim office. We left for Rexburg with only two bags and hopes that the airport would call us saying they found the other one. We were so bummed because it had gifts from our wedding, gift cards, and Paxton's journal- his missionary journal and everything since then. Everything else was replaceable except the journal- so we were most frustrated about that. And we were so tired from traveling we just wanted to get home, but ended up staying an extra two hours in Salt Lake searching for our lost bags. So annoying. Anyway, we finally got to Rexburg, started unpacking our stuff and ready to go to bed when Paxton calls the airport one last time to check and see if they found our bag yet... and they had found it!!! We were super excited and totally relieved that it was found and no one had stolen it. We were, well at least I was convinced that the bag was stolen and we wouldn't ever get it. But what a relief- it just missed our flight somehow and got sent on the next one. What chaos.
So now it's Monday, back to school and work and I was sitting here writing Thank You cards to everyone. My hand started cramping so I thought I should update the blog. Lots of things happened. And still a lot more to happen.
We have another reception/open house this coming weekend in Idaho Falls for my side of friends and family. One last wedding occasion! Then we're done! It's surprising how generous people are. All the gifts and money we receive just add up and we're more and more surprised and grateful for all of it. It's great- but people keep saying it only happens once so be grateful... and we are!
Well, back to writing Thank You cards, and FHE!

Announcement!

Here is our announcement! This is one side... and the other picture is the other side. So cute eh? And- it's comin up!!! Three days away!! Finally.

9.30.2006

6 days away!!

Time has flown by as we are finally coming up to the last stretch of our engagement. Six more days and we're stuck with eachother forever and we could never be happier. Well, maybe after we're married- but we are just getting more and more excited each day. I went to my friend's wedding yesterday in the Bountiful temple, and it was really beautiful; the temple, the sealing, and the reception. It just made me so much more excited to get married myself. Can't wait.
Next week i get to pamper myself with a manicure and pedicure. Can't wait for that, then we'll leave on Thursday to SLC for the big day to follow.
We have both been busy lately too- with our own schedule- and we haven't seen eachother too much. Paxton is busy constantly with schoolwork and tutoring accounting, and i am busy too with work, and then i live at home till we're married- so I have to drive back after work so we never get to see eachother. It's funny how fast I start missing him when I'm not with him all the time. The other day I didn't see him for like 29 hours straight- and missed him SO much. And just now he's been gone for what- 45 minutes- and I'm missin him already. It'll be great when we don't have to leave eachother.
Well- that's all- kinda boring- but we're both still just anxious to get married.. and it's finally comin in a few days! Yay.

WEDDING PREP

So the past few weeks have been pretty stressful. I just can't wait till all wedding plans are done and we're married!
We drove to Dallas and stayed there, visited family and friends for a week, which was so fun. All we did the whole week was drive, eat, sleep, swim and eat some more. I've never gone out to eat at restaurants so much in my life. It was fun, but i think by the end of the week we bothed gained like 15 pounds! ha.. not really but we felt pretty crappy. So the day after we got home to Idaho we both worked out for two hours! haha- it felt so good. But during the Dallas trip, Paxton had an interview with Grant Thornton for a job after he graduates in April. After his interview, that same day, they called him and offered him the job!! We were so so excited and it's really comforting to know he has a job once we go to Dallas, and a really good one at that. What a relief.
After Dallas, Paxton started school right away and I started my job at a pizza restaurant with a Nazi manager. She used to scare me a little, but then I got over it. But she gets really stressed easily and is just really particular about every little thing. She made me feel stupid a few times, made me wanna beat her up, and other things, but now I've learned to work with her. I sucked up to her a lot lately and now I think she likes me. There are moments where it gets annoying. Oh well- it's a job and it's money which is what we need.
Actually we've been blessed a lot with all of our wedding plans and finding a place to live and getting jobs. It's great.
We finally got our announcements last Friday and sent them out Saturday- that's a huge relief. I'll post some pictures of them next time. But I also got my flowers and cake arrangements set. More and more stuff is getting done- it keeps getting closer and closer and we can't wait!!!
And last of all- Paxton recently shaved his nose hairs- no more hairs sneakin out! ha.. love it.

8.21.2006

Paxton has been working long and hard on his final project for his Accounting class. I don't like it because I don't get to see him and be with him as much. Oh well, I guess we have the rest of our lives and some to be together. So hopefully the project will be done by Tuesday, and then we can head off to TEXAS. We've been anticipating this trip for a couple months now, so it's exciting that it has finally come. Except now I've been stressing to find a job for the Fall. I will have to support us during the Fall while Paxton is in school, and I don't even have a job yet. I'm a bit stressed because nothing has been happening for awhile. But I know all will work out in due time!
Paxton finally proposed last Saturday.... with a fake $8 ring from Wal-Mart. It shines- a little too much. Ha- it's still pretty. But that was the last thing we had to do to make it official. Well, that and announcements. Those are being worked on right now and will be sent out hopefully in a couple weeks.
The days are getting longer and longer as October 6th gets closer. I hope it isn't like this for the whole month and a half.

8.12.2006
