new year!

A new year!  We are excited to see what this year brings!  Looking forward to a couple family trips, summer time pool time, and the end of kindergarten for Ty!

Ty got a couple of awards in school for reading and behavior...  Go Ty!

We spent a weekend at Gramps and Rita's house!  Always a fun time there, with 4-wheelers, cows, tractors, and yummy food!  The best place to go and relax - away from the busy city!

This was hilarious- drinking from a boot!! Hahaha!

There have been several days this month of 60+ degree weather!  We've taken advantage of every one and gone outside to parks and playgrounds!  I love this pic of the girls... don't know why- it's just so sweet to me!
January is already almost over!  It's gone by so quickly!  I've made a couple resolutions for this year, with a few other goals I will implement sporadically throughout the year!  My most important goal is to "feast" on the scriptures and really get something more from them than I ever had before.  I know this will strengthen my faith and love for Christ, and I'm so excited about it!
Another goal I have is to read 1 book a month.  I like to read, though I don't read often enough.  Last year I don't think I read ONE book!  That Brinley just kept me too busy and tired I think! :)  I read Unbroken this month and absolutely LOVED it! Wow- so amazing!  I need another book for February, and I feel like it'll be hard to match the quality of Unbroken!
Other small goals I have throughout the year I want to do are improve my diet, lose 5 lbs, no excessive Facebook/media use for a week or more at a time, try gluten free diet for a month or 2 or 3 :), no sweets for a week at a time throughout the year.  There are others, but are more personal.  I'm excited to accomplish these goals!  They are challenging enough for me that I will have to practice self-control and self-mastery, which is something I always can improve!

December 2014

December started out with a trip to east Texas to visit cousins!  It was cousin Luke's birthday, so off they went to the bowling alley!  We always have a fun time out at their farm!!

Brinley loves to sit up at the counter with the big kids.

 Emery's sweet preschool picture!

Ty had a Christmas party at school where they ate a bunch of snack foods and fruits and treats and got to watch a movie.  Then they exchanged gift cards!

Ty was REALLY excited to wear his pajamas to school on pajama day!  He's an elf!
His teacher LOVED his pajamas and wanted pictures.  She kept telling me how cute he was! :)
 Elf on the Shelf!

Mom & Pop came to Dallas to visit and be here for Christmas!!  They came for 10 days!  We got to visit some of their long-time friends, the Linton's!  They had a beautiful home, and a super fun room for the kids to play! They didn't want to leave!

Paxton and Pop went to a Dallas Mavericks game!

 Christmas Eve!

 Christmas morning!

Mom & Pop left 3 days after Christmas.  We had a lot of fun with them here!!  I was so grateful they could come visit for so long!!  It's fun to have them come to our home once in awhile, and see how our life is here!!

 Silly selfies

Mom and Pop got them I LOVE IDAHO sweatshirts!  They love them!!  Wear them all the time!
This year has gone by so so quickly!  I can't believe it's over and another has started!  I love my family more than I could ever imagine!  They are everything to me and I am so grateful that each child is so sweet, happy, beautiful, healthy, smart, kind, fun, and loving!  They are my life! I love my life!
