Trip to Marco Island

We just got back from vacation in Marco Island, FL and it was awesome!! We had such a great time and the best part was that we were able to be there with my family. It would not have been the same without them. So here are some pictures of the trip... Enjoy!

This was our rental car. We were lucky enough to get the ugliest one on the lot. In case you didn't notice, that is me throwing up on the car before we left the airport. On the way out, I congratulated the gate attendant on getting rid of their ugliest car. He replied, "Hey, it's not for beauty, it's for driving mon". Yes, he was Jamaican.

Here is my beautiful wife! Doesn't she look cute in this maternity swimsuit? Thanks Jen. I couldn't get over how cute she looked in these swimsuits.
Here is my mom being silly. This happened a lot during the week, mostly accompanied by crazy dancing and singing of Michael Jackson songs.

Mr. Steve just chillin'.
Here is Katie reading the latest gossip on the Twilight cast. One of the best nights we had was when Katie spend the night at Abby and I's condo. We laughed so hard while watching American Gladiators. I think Katie had the quote of the week when she said, "Why is everyone making such a big deal about Michael Jackson's death? I mean, it's not like one of the Jonas Brothers died."
Here is the view looking straight down from our balcony.
Here is the view from our balcony out to the ocean. My mom and Steve were able to get 3 condos right next to each other. Abby and I had one all to ourselves. They were so nice.
One of the days we were there we rented two pontoon boats and explored all of the in's and out's of Florida. We went up to Naples and saw the huge houses and bunch of other stuff. It was really cool.
While we were out on the boat we saw this pelican nest on top of this sign. Look how big it is!
Here is my Sis, Katie, and Greg. Hey Sis, how do you spell Island again??
My favorite part was driving the boat... And when Abby called me Captain, if you know what I'm saying.

Amazing sunsets...
Oops. Abby burned her belly pretty bad. We figure Ty should come out with a nice tan.

Well, that is about all our pictures. Abby would have done the post but she was too tired. We have to give a huge thanks to Mom and Steve for making this trip happen. It was probably the best trip we have ever been on. Thanks, love you guys!!!

DVR

So when we moved into our 2-bedroom apartment, we were able to get a Dish for cable.  Dish Network threw in a DVR with the purchase, which we are very happy to have and enjoy it everyday! I get to record the few shows that we watch and we don't have to worry about being home on certain nights at certain times to watch our shows, we can just record it and watch it whenever we want.  It took me a little bit for me to remember that I could fast forward through commercials and pause if I needed to get up, but I've got the hang of it now... aaaaannndd it's gotten to the point that I have thoughts come in my head that I want to record my life and be able to rewind or fast forward or pause moments in life.  Usually every weekend I wish I could pause time and just live in Saturday's forever.  I love just being with Paxton ALL DAY and doing whatever it is we have planned or do on the weekends.  Paxton is so entertaining and silly and fun, and is my best friend and I hardly ever get sick of him.  (Yeah-hardly ever-it happens occasionally. :) hehe. )
Now I am wanting also to fast-forward a week, a month, 2 months for all these different events that I am anticipating and want to happen RIGHT NOW!  But it seems to drag and drag.  I can't wait for our trip, the baby shower, my last day of work, Katie to return from her mission, and ultimately our baby boy to be born, which comes with my mom coming to visit.  It's exciting to know so much is going to happen in just a few months...
And lately, what I've really been wanting to rewind is the visible movements of my tummy that baby makes.  There have been multiple times that baby rolled around or did a somersault or some huge movement, and I thought about rewinding that moment so Paxton could see it.  And then of course I realize I can't rewind that moment.  Dang it!  So I have been trying to video record my tummy when baby is most active, but it seems he knows when I turn on that camera because he stops moving completely.  I am determined to record him during one of his little workouts or gymnastic routines he is practicing in there, because it is simply amazing.  I could sit and watch my belly for hours.  It is really incredible to feel and see him moving.
Although I wish Pax had spend this weekend with me,  I've had a really relaxing weekend without him.  He went to Louisiana to visit his dad and is back now, but while he was gone I went to lunch with some girls, laid by the pool and swam, got a pedicure, and just relaxed with the fam.  Unfortunately I've been sick this whole time with a cold and cough, but I still enjoyed the relaxation time that I really needed.
Well, I think I'm gonna go eat lunch and my left over homemade cheesecake.  SOOOOO good!

Much needed update

It's been awhile since I've updated everyone on what's going on in our lives.  I really have no excuse other than I feel like I'm a bad writer, so I don't like to do it too often.  I never have anything interesting, funny, or clever to say, so I just don't say much at all.
But I would like to tell of another gym experience I had this morning.  My first gym experience I told awhile back was about the prissy blonde girl dressed up-not to sweat or work out-but to turn some guys' heads.  Well this is a little different and disgusting.  I think some of you have actually experienced this, or maybe you've the been delightful one to give the experience to someone else.  I got to the gym this morning and worked on my lower body for a little bit, then went upstairs to the treadmills.  I got on a treadmill next to a guy who was running. At the time I didn't notice how hard he was pushing himself or how sweaty he was.  I started walking and about 5 minutes into my planned 30 minute walk, I felt driplets of sweat hitting my legs and ankles.  I looked down and glanced over at this guy running his heart out and his treadmill was soaked in sweat.  He was heaving for air and dripping with sweat.  His sweat kept flinging onto my legs and arms.  He never wiped his sweat off with the towel that was hanging on the handle bar, but let it fling wherever it happened to go... unfortunately it was on me.  I was so disgusted, but I didn't want to stop my workout and move to another treadmill and start over, so I just walked as far to the right of the treadmill as possible.  It worked for the most part.
After 10 minutes of walking, I finally gave up and decided to go on the stair-master downstairs and finish my "cardio" workout.  There are 4 stair-masters in a row at the gym, I took the 2nd and the 4th was already taken, so there was an empty one in the middle.  Not even 30 seconds into my workout, that same guy jumps on the stair-master next to me.  WHAT THE? I was so annoyed.  I ended up only climbing the stair-master for 10 minutes before I left.  Fortunately his sweat wasn't being flinged on me because he wasn't bouncing as much, but it was just annoying.  He did, however, manage to drench that machine as well.
Anyway, that's my gym story this time.  I just hope I never have to walk by that guy again.  That is so gross.
Last weekend for Memorial Day, Pax & I went to Houston to visit our friends Jake & Kelly and their darling girls Maria & Layla.  We watched a movie, went to the beach, went to church, had yummy food, went on a walk, relaxed, and had a great time!  It was lots of fun to spend time with them.  Unfortunately we don't see them too often since they live 4 hours away, so when we do go visit, we try to plan it during long weekends.  I'm a retard and forgot to bring my camera, so there are no pics from that weekend.  But I am actually happy about that, since I would've looked like a fatso in all the pictures.
Yes, I am feeling a bit 'fatso.'  Our little guy is getting so big!  It has been so fun feeling him kick and roll and squirm around.  Paxton gets annoyed of me always asking him, 'Come feel him moving' or 'Watch my belly' or whatever else I say.  It's just such an amazing thing that there's a little baby developing inside of me and to be able to feel his bum, legs, arms, and kicks.  I just love him so much.  I'm so anxious to be able to see the little guy.  I am 30 weeks, so I've just got 10 more to go!!  I have a feeling it's going to go by really slowly though.   We've got so many things we are looking forward to in the next few months, so every day just drags for me.
First of all, we have a trip to Florida, Katie comes home from her mission, at the end of July I will be DONE WITH MY JOB! Whooohooo! Can't wait for that day.  I've actually been counting down the day that will happen for about 5 months... I've just got under 2 months to go!  AND THEN our little boy is here!  Also, Paxton has a few CPA exams he is planning to take.  When will that test be over?! Ahh!  He's working hard though.  I am amazed at how he can juggle everything he has going on; work, the exam, wife, baby, bills, and playtime.  He's one amazing husband, and can't wait til he becomes a daddy.
Well my banana bread just came out of the oven, I think I'll go have a fresh slice.  Yummm.  Thanks to Kelly, it is a healthy version of banana bread since I've substituted some of the butter for flax seed,  and used whole wheat flour instead of white flour.  Hope it turned out!
*Here's my 30 week shot*
