We had a great Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Myers visiting from Idaho. It took awhile for Ty to warm up to them, but after he did, he loved playing with them. He got used to having someone to play with all the time, now I think he is bored with just me again. Sorry Tyzer.

Christmas Eve in their matching jammies!

We went to Twisted Root to have one of the best burgers in Dallas! SO GOOD! Ty even liked the burger, and he is such a picky eater. He had never eaten a hamburger til then. We were all so stuffed that we didn't even eat dinner that night. They had a funny little sticker in there that said "McDonald's isn't food."
Playing with Gma & Gpa.

Emery was blessed on Sunday. Ty wore his Christmas suit while Emery was in her white dress.

We are really glad they were able to come. We had a great time. We love you Grandma & Grandpa. Hope more family can come visit us soon!

Em's growth

Emery is 2 months.
Height 23.5 in-90%
Weight 11.7 lbs-30%
Head 14.6 in-5%

She has a small head. Where does that come from? Do I have a small head? Paxton doesn't have a small head. She looks normal to me. (This is the only pic I've taken of her in 3-4 weeks. Sad.)
Ty has been my helper with getting the presents under the tree once they're wrapped. He picks them up, big or small, and happily places them under the tree. Lately, he has been walking around carrying huge things, like Emery's bouncer chair, his walker, or his 2 big trucks - one in each hand. Funny kid.

I recently cut his hair like a normal boy hair cut - short on the sides and longer on top. He looks like a BIG boy now. These pics are from before his haircut, but I sat him on the counter to style his hair. He climbed into the sink, turned on the faucet, and had a blast getting all wet.

And this is just a cute picture. I put his hair in a mohawk and tried to get pictures. You can't see the mohawk, but I like his smile. This is his "laughing really hard" face. I love this boy so much.
Grandma and Grandpa Myers get in town tonight! We are so excited! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Ty being crazy

Ready for winter

Thanksgiving at YaYa's

Right after Thanksgiving dinner we drove to Louisiana to spend Thanksgiving/Christmas with my Dad. It was really good to see him. He rented out a Bed & Breakfast on the Natchitoches River for the entire family over the weekend. So all the aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. met up and we had a great weekend together. Here are some pics of the B&B:

Dining room where we all ate breakfast in the morning

Back patio

We all had our separate rooms so it was super nice. Ours had a library in it!!

They had a Holiday Fireworks show about a block from our B&B on the river. They had all these shops and places to eat on the square where we stayed. We ate seafood the first night and then sushi the second.

My Dad owns a scrap yard and we always go out there so we can break windows out of cars and play around. Ty loved seeing all the tractors.

Christmas Time!
Abby loves Christmas. I think she would prefer to listen to Christmas music year around if other people didn't think she was weird. Every time I come home from work the Christmas station is on. Abby put up the tree and decorated it. She will never brag about herself but I will. She is seriously amazing at making different things and being creative. I don't know how she does it.

Emery is really starting to become alert to the things around her. She is smiling and even laughing. She loves watching Ty play and stare at the Christmas tree lights. She is also doing quite a bit of long division, which I heard is early for her age.

Last night, Abby told me she was really tired and wanted to sleep on the couch so she could have an uninterrupted night sleep since Emery is sleeping in our room. Of course, the night I am responsible for Emery she keeps me up all night long. She was grunting, whining, and kind of snoring in her sleep. At 3:30am I finally had enough and took her in with Abby, and went back to bed. Newborns are crazy. It's funny how I forgot that.

But since Abby is a stay-at-home mom she should be the one who takes care of the baby at night right? Or am I just being a typical guy?? I don't think I am being unreasonable on this one. This is a constant debate at the Hobson home. I would appreciate some comments on this...

Ty loves baby Emery. He gives her the blanket, pacifier, and likes playing with her feet. I can tell he is excited for her to get bigger. Ty had strep throat these last few days but he is feeling better now. Well, thats about it. Abby's parents are coming for Christmas so we are excited.
