VaLeNtiNe'S DaY!

Kind of bad pictures of us- oh well- just wanted to show some pics of Valentine's Day- our first one together. We didn't have much time to go out to eat at a nice restaurant so we went to Fazoli's, which turned out to be really good. I was craving just something with spaghetti sauce- so yeah- it was yummy. Then we went to the temple- it was a very great idea for Valentine's Day. Loved it.
I don't know if you can see, but there was a little girl in the background of this picture that was watching us a lot. So when we were taking pics she was staring at us. You might be able to see her in the shadow- in the background. She was cute.

Choco-Holic!

This past weekend we went to Salt Lake, So. Jordan, Sandy, and Layton- just areas around Salt Lake City. Anyway, we had a long weekend so we spent time with a bunch of my family each day! It was so fun. First we spent time with my brother Mark, then went to my other brother Matt and Candace's house. We got to see my newest nephew and other nephews. They're so cute. Then that night we went to P.F. Chang's. These are what the pictures are of. The one above is me and my sister Katie. P.F. Chang's is SOOO good. I had never eaten there. But we got a beef dish, and shared with others. But then we got dessert- the HUGE chocolate cake with raspberry syrup and fruit! YUMMY! I was so full. But it was so worth it.

Paxton- posing like the statue in the background. Too bad it is a little dark- you can't see the little statue. He's silly.
Here is my brother Matt and his wife Candace, Paxton and me, and my sister Katie.

It was a fun night. After we ate, Pax and I went to the Salt Lake temple and went through a session- a live session. It was very interesting- I am so glad I went - it shows a little bit different perspective. And of course got to see inside- it's so beautiful. The next day we went to my old roommates house and her husband is a chef- he made us YUMMY food. Then we went to my sister, Melanie's house and chilled for the day. Went to church. Ate more yummy food. Then the next day it was my other sister, Leslie's birthday, so we went to Red Robin, got a yummy chicken burger. And a huge chocolate cake again for her birthday! This weekend was just filled with chocolate. I loved it!

Pizza with Friends

So Abby and I pride ourselves on not being one of those married couples that just sit's at home all the time and doesn't hang out with friends. Although, we do like alone time, we also have a bunch of friends that are really cool and who we love to hang out with. Here are some pics of some of our closest friends here at BYU-Idaho that we have known since we started school here. We love you guys and are going to miss you!!

That is Ben (my old roomate) on the right, Mark (my good friend that hooked up Abby and I) in the middle, and his date Taya

"The Reserve Chip"

So Abby and I sat down today for a delicious plate of Chili/Chip burritos. They were really good, but we still had some left-over chili. What should we do??? Abby, being the genius she is, decided to put some cream cheese in the left-over chili and we had it as a dip with some chips. It was really really good. Anyway, as we were eating, we were pulling chips out of the bag, putting them on our plate, and then dipping and eating. Most people will eat all of the chips on their plate and then go to the bag for some more. Abby became curious as to why I would always keep one chip on my plate at all times while going back for more. I explained to her the "reserve chip" principle. This principle states that you must always keep a reserve chip on you plate in case the dip gets so scarce that there is only enough for one more chip. In that case, you do not have to panic and rush to the bag fighting the competition, you simply take your reserve chip and claim your prize.
Once I explained this to Abby she immediately found her own reserve chip. I made the mistake of reveling my principle to the competition, so now it was only a matter of time. As the chili came to an end I hesitated and Abby made the final kill, and got the last of the dip (beginners luck). Here are some pics of the action...

LONG DAYS + LONG NIGHTS = Cranky Wife!

So it has been one of the longest days of my life. It started out at 6 am when the alarm went off. I got up, got ready for the day, ate breakfast, packed lunches for Pax and I, and headed off to the library to study for 2 hours before my first class started. I studied, went to classes from 9am- 12:30pm. Then I tutored from 1pm-4pm. Then I had another class from 4:30-5:30pm. Then we went home for an hour and half to eat dinner. I took a 35 minute nap, then went to a play i had to go to for a class. That lasted for 2 1/2 hours!! LONG! Then I went back to the library to meet with a study group and work on a project. And now I am still here at the library, waiting for Paxton to finish his take home test- those things take forever! And he's having a hard time figuring it out. So... I'm super exhausted, achy, hungry- but don't want to eat, and just a little cranky. Do i have good reasons for it? I THINK SO! But Paxton is so patient with me - it's great. I wish i could go home right now- I know i'd fall asleep in 30 seconds. And the funny thing is, I am sitting here complaining about it, and Paxton hasn't complained once- and he's STILL doing homework. What a hard worker. Very grateful for that...
That's a bit of what our days are going to be like for the rest of the semester- some days not so long... yeah. And I think that's it. Not a whole lot else- just really looking forward to this weekend where I will totally relax and not do a thing. Ha- no i probably will. Hopefully workout and do a bit of homework.
Anyway, all is well. Love you all!!!
