Snap Shots

Here are just a few recent pics of us-- from 1-2 months ago, going to Hurricane Harbor, golfing, and at the Ranger's game.
He's looking at me... disgusted or annoyed or something... but he's still SO cute.

I got Pax in the pic..:)
At the Rangers game
Heading to Hurricane Harbor
Wow... what am I doing??

A Little Crunched ?

Pax and I went to Brian and Jen's house to hang out and they had just gotten home. . . like this. Their car was crammed w/ storage boxes, and the many other purchases they made that day. They could hardly fit it all in their car. We thought it was pretty funny.

Take Me Out to the BAAAALLL GAME!!

I hope this blog doesn't look bad. It's probably a mess- oh well. There are a bunch of pics from the Rangers game we went to the other night. Brian has string cheese(old and warm) in his mouth. I had it in my purse and offered it to him, kidding, but he still took it.
Natalie was so good and so cute. She attracted everyone, they all thought she was so adorable, and one guy even touched her little hand while her diaper was being changed. She's THAT cute! hehe.

She got so frustrated sometimes that it frustrated Jen too.. ha not really... it's a cute pic though.
Oops forgot to zoom out again....

Tee Time : 6:15

Last week, Paxton, Chris, & Brian went to Indian Creek Golf Course to play some golf. I decided to tag along since I had never seen Paxton play golf. He did really well. He said he was a little rusty and didn't do his best, and I understand, it's hard to play your best all the time. Everyone had a great time- it was fun.

The guys ready to play, walking to the next hole.

Oops- forgot to zoom out. hehe. I like his face though- even though it's the face he makes when petting Curly- the dog. ha.

Got it zoomed out this time... and he STILL makes the face.

It was really pretty out there. There was lots of water and "lakes" where there weren't supposed to be, but it made it beautiful out there.

Beautiful sunset eh?

The boys, done w/ their game. After a few bad swings and many good swings, they were ready to get outta there.

See ya (in Kip voice) . . .

Good game boys. . . .

3 Silly Pics

You're on Candid Camera-- at Arena Football

We went to arena football a long time ago... I just never got around to posting pictures. I thought some of these pics were fun and cute.

Well- we werent on "candid camera"... but some people were...

...they weren't either...

this is just my favorite.. haha

So, I was never on "candid camera" but I sure do like to catch others in mid sentence when they look the silliest. It's pretty fun and entertaining-- although the arena football game was very entertaining also. That was my first experience at an indoor f-ball game-- different, but fun.

JFK Museum

Awhile ago we all went to the JFK Conspiracy Museum. It was a really good experience. We weren't allowed to take pics inside the building(even though jen did-- rebel), so I didn't get any from inside, but here's a bunch afterward.

I don't remember if I had already mentioned that we went to the museum, I think I already did, but I just will say I learned a lot and felt a lot of sympathy for Jackie Kennedy and Americans at the time it happened. The museum was VERY educating, well worth it.

Jen is pointing to the window where Oswald was stationed to shoot JFK

This is hands down our favorite pic of the night. We labeled each person as the innocent country girl, sasquatch, and a sneaky gunman-woman. hahaha- So funny.

Afterward we went to Fuddruckers-- first time occasion for me. It was good.

I had salad.. yummy

Garrett downin the 1 pound burger!!

Horse Races Anyone?

Hey guys, I am posing another great idea for everyone. My boss has inspired this idea in me. Paxton and I are planning on going to the horse races at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie this Saturday. I've done a little research as I usually do when I make a post on the blog about the activities we want to do, so here is an exerpt of the info on Tickets from the Lone Star Park website, http://www.lonestarpark.com/ .

Guests are admitted to the first level of the Grandstand featuring concessions, wagering services, and the track’s gift shop. General Admission does not include a reserved seat. Standing room is always ample and visitors are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs for use in the grassy areas in front of the Post Time Pavilion and the Courtyard of Champions, a picnic area with limited seating and great views of the track. The Paddock area is a great place to sit and relax or watch the horses, jockeys and trainers get ready for the upcoming race.

General Admission is $3.00 per person (Children 3 and younger are admitted FREE of charge).

The first race starts at 1:35pm. I don't know how early they let people in, or if there are other activities that take place before the live racing. Also, a little bonus for us is they are giving out free sports bags for "Fan Appreciation Day" It's Lone Star Park's 10th anniversary, so they have sports bags w/ their logo on it to hand out to the visitors, but it's while supplies last, and I don't know about you, but I WANT ONE, so I wanna be sure and get one, which means we may need to go a bit early. We need to go early anyway if we want to get seats, or a good grassy area. Either way sounds fun.

I also looked into the weather for the weekend, since it's kind of unpredictable at this time- which is pretty weird for here. But it's supposed to be 88-89 degrees with a 30-40% chance of rain. So, not bad. It may actually be perfect weather for this activity, a little overcast with a slight breeze.

It's a really cheap, fun and entertaining activity. Anyone that wants to go with us let us know.

My Artistic Accountant

So I am sitting at work when I receive an email from my cute hubby. In the email he says hi how are you blah blah and then "Here is a picture i made for you"
Isn't it cute?! I just wanted to share it with everyone. He always draws me silly pictures, like a stick figure climbing a huge mountain with a smiling sun, or a boat on the ocean and a smiling sun. I'm surprised there was no smiling sun in this one. My question is, why are his hands black? I know he didn't wear gloves to work, but uhhh... hmmm? And how did he draw that calculator? It looks like it's a clipart or something. Very creative husband I have! He keeps things interesting everyday. I love it.

Sydnee Claire
Carly Jane
Ava Brooke
Eliza Avery
Boys:
Jackson Ty(call him Ty)
Paxton Caleb
Truman Lomax
Connor James
Zackary Ian
This is what you get when you have time to kill at work. I was bored, and kept thinking of cute names, so I looked up names online and found some of these cute ones. I tried to use Paxton's names in there. I also tried to pick my faves, but I really like them all. What are your faves? Or do you like any at all? :) Now don't assume anything from this blog; we're not expecting anytime soon. It's just good to be prepared in any way possible. We're so prepared for names. AND we won't be using ALL 10! I'm not gonna follow after my mom.
Latest news w/ me is I bought a plane ticket for home. I'll be leaving August 22nd, and come home September 10th. I"m very excited to see my family, be at the family reunion, see my parents' new home, and be at my brother's wedding! I'm going to visit friends from school too- can't wait!! Only a month and 5 days or something. No, I actually am not going to count down, because it'll be hard to leave Paxton for 2 weeks! :( I will definitely miss him, that's for sure. But he's meeting me there September 5th and staying thru the 9th for my brother's wedding. He's going to be in the "line" at the reception! Yay!

SIX FLAGS vs. HURRICANE HARBOR

Hey guys! Pax and I wanna go to Six Flags or Hurricane Harbor this Saturday. We're wanting to make a whole day event out of it. I've researched prices for tickets, so here's the scoop:

Six Flags
Day Passes: $47 at the park, or $42 online/each
Season Passes: $89.99 or $79.99/each when you buy 4 or more. So if 4 of ya'll wanna go in on buying them, you'll save $40.
2 Day Ticket: $47/each online. This ticket works for SF and HH! We can go to one Friday night and one Saturday!
Junior Admission(48" or shorter): $34.99 Ages 2 and under are FREE

Hurricane Harbor
Day Passes:$31.99 at the park, or $25.99 online
Season Passes: $69.99 or $59.99/each when you buy 4 or more.
Junior Admission(48" or shorter): $24.99 Ages 2 and under are FREE

Parking is $15-$25 for SF, and $10-$15 for HH.
Hours at SF are 10AM-11PM
Hours at HH are 10:30AM-7PM

A season pass pays for itself in less than 2 visits!! What a deal! Think about it guys. If the weather is good, Pax and I are going to one. Not sure of which. We're kinda leaning towards HH, but if people wanna go to SF instead, we'll go there. OH and we have season parking, so we'll carpool in our car so no one has to pay for parking.

*UpDaTeS*

So Harry Potter came out today. I was fortunate enough to go see the opening show at 12:01 am. What an experience that was. I must say, there are just as weird of people in Idaho as there are in Texas when it comes to Harry Potter. I went to the opening night show of Harry Potter 4 in Idaho and then again for Harry Potter 5 here in Dallas. There are weird Potter fans everywhere .

While waiting for the movie to start, Kathleen Eric Brian Jen and I were sitting watching people as they came in the theatre. There were crowds of normal people, then crowds of people dressed in Hogwarts robes, long scraggly hair, with wand in hand. A group of people even chanted Hogwarts songs and cheered for Harry, or Dracy Malfoy. One chant was an imitation of Marco Polo- only with the words Draco Malfoy in it's place. We're talkin WEIRD PEOPLE. I don't know about you, but I like to enjoy a movie when I've paid $10 to see it in a theatre. I'm not a big fan of when teenagers are screaming and cheering for Harry when he casts a spell on Prof. Umbridge, or when Dumbledore scorns Prof. Umbridge. I must say, that was probably the most attentive movie watching crowd, and the most annoying movie watching crowd. I'd rather have couples making out in front, behind, and to the sides of me rather than people who shout for joy when the name Harry Potter is spoken. Hmm.. BUT!!!-- I REALLY REALLY enjoyed going to the late night showing. It was so fun hanging out w/ everyone and talking. It was a fabulous movie. Just an hour after the movie, I already wanted to go see it again. I give it 5 stars. And the good quote at the end of the movie made by Dumbledore was... uhh... I don't remember- Jen knows, but I like that he always leaves us with an inspiring quote at the end. Oh and KUDOS to Brian for asking a couple decked out in costume for a picture after saying they were the best dressed in the whole theatre!!

Last weekend Paxton, myself, and a few friends went to the JFK Conspiracy Museum. I took lots of pictures, but I haven't had time to post them. They will be coming soon. But that was a really great experience. Wow- it made such a huge impact on the U.S. and every individual throughout the country. I sympathize with Jaquie Kennedy- there were pictures of her in shock. That would be so horrifying - I don't know how I would handle that. It was a very interesting museum, very educating, and a thorough explanation on all that happened and all the investigations that took place. We were there for 2 hours, and I still didn't get to go through all of it. I'll post the pictures later-- we werent allowed to take pics inside, so we have outside ones. They're fun.

On Monday, Paxton, C-Wise and I played tennis. It was fun and hard. Wow- I'm bad. I thought I would be able to pick up and do ok since I play basketball and volleyball. Well, there's just different skills for every sport- so it didn't work out too well. It was lots of fun. The Wimbledon Championship Tournaments are what inspired me to want to go play. It looked fun. I want to start practicing and get good at tennis. Paxton has the patience to teach me- which I'm grateful for.

Well, I hope the weather forecast is partly cloudy/sunshine this weekend- then we can get some sand volleyball going again eh???? Ya'll up for it?

Quote of the Day

Hey, Pax and I are enjoying a lazy Sunday. Crazy weather today eh? It was really sunny and nice when we left for church, then an hour later it was pouring down rain for 10 minutes, then it went back to sunny. When we got back to our house, it was sunny and a little cloudy. Then it quickly went to cloudy, and then rained again - which led to a power outage at our apartment for 2 & 1/2 hours!!!! It finally came back on then flickered on and off a few times in the next 20 minutes. It's obviously back on now, but wow- weird weather in Texas.

So we've been watching all the Harry Potter movies before the 5th movie comes out. I've already seen all of them a few times, it's Paxton that's trying to watch all of em. It's taken a really long time- I think 2 months to watch all 4. He falls asleep so quickly, we have to stop it 30 minutes into the movie. We finally finished the 4th one today. We stopped it 3 times though. We started it 2 days ago, then stopped it because he fell asleep. So today we picked up where he fell asleep- and then he fell asleep AGAIN about an hour into it. Finally 3 hours later, after a nap and eating, we finished to the end! Yay! Now I want to go to the opening night of the 5th movie, but I really don't think Paxton will stay awake. And I don't wanna pay $12 for Paxton to sleep in a movie theatre. If we do end up going, it'll be everyone's job to keep him awake. -- By the way- who all wants to go opening night? Is it too late to buy tickets? Let's plan on all of us going... any takers??

Here's a quote that I thought was good and Sunday appropriate.

"We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy."
-- Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Funny Videos

Today, we were looking through all of these videos that we have taken with our camera and we found some pretty good one's that we forgot about!! Here they are for your viewing pleasure... Make sure you turn your speakers on! You might have to click on the play button twice to get it to play.

That's just silly!

Yes I know, it was Neil Armstrong that landed on the moon, not Lance Armstrong. Let's just say we had been on the road a while, I wasn't all there.

No, I was really playing it, I promise...

Mini Golf

A few weeks ago we went to Golden Bear Mini Golf course. It's a serious course- with sand traps, trees, rocks, and other scenery. It was really fun. We were of course trying to beat each other, and because of Paxton's skills, he was very confident he was going to beat me, so he gave me one stroke on every hole to increase my odds of winning and make it a more competitive game. How nice of him.

So we started playing and he was winning most of them, so he started on every hole. Then we came up to one hole, and I went first since I had won the last hole. It was a super hard one, a par 4. There was a big rock obstacle right in the middle, so you had to go around it and then up a little hill. So I strategically plan out my putt, and swing. It goes around, bounces of a ledge, up the hill, passes the hole, hits the rock back rock and bounces back right in the hole!! HOLE IN ONE !! YEAH! It was so amazing. Paxton couldn't believe it! It really was cool. I wish we had caught it on tape.

Ok, so we keep playing, and right before the last hole, Paxton counts our scorecard and figures that he is ahead by 4 strokes. So we both putt, and we get birdies. So I figured I lost by 4, but Paxton counts the score card again and realized that I actually won by 6! How'd he miss that? Who knows... but he counted over and over again, and couldn't believe he lost by 6! haha... It was a fun night, and even better that I beat him in mini golf. Well- really- he won because he gave me a stroke on every hole, but- those were our rules- so I really did win . We treated ourselves to some icecream afterward- a good reward for a win.

We put our camera on timer- and tried to get the little waterfall on the side in the pic, but the plant was in the way. oh well.
This course was not meant for lefties- or "south paws!" -coil

Good Game Babe!
