Whenever the kids say something funny that I want to remember, I'll put it in my phone. I intended to put it on the blog whenever it had happened, but I fell so far behind. So I've got a few quotes from the kids over the last year.
4/1/13 Ty(3 1/2 yrs): While swinging really high on the swings. "I'm flyyyyyiiiing.. And that is my castle(pointing to the playground)! Ohh yeah!"
4/24/13 Ty: "You look pretty, Mom" while I'm walking into the bathroom to wipe his bum. :) He is such a sweet, thoughtful boy, and compliments me and Emery whenever he thinks we look pretty. Often times, he'll tell me to pull my hair back because it looks prettier that way. Another sweet thing he has done is picked a flower from somewhere (in the neighbors flower bed, ahem) or a weed that looks like a flower, and he'll give it to me and say he knew it would make me happy so he picked the flower for me. He is definitely going to make his future wife happy with his thoughtful acts.
4/24/13 Ty: "Mom, why do we need blood?" And then later, "Why do we need those blue things?" He is referring to neurotransmitters that the brain sends out to the body... a few weeks back, we had watched a video about a baby's development at 29 weeks, and he remembers that still!
4/28/13 Ty: "Jesus put tape on us so we won't blow away."
Emery - Into the water!!!!!"
Ty - and a whale will eat us!"
Coming home from church.
5/31/13 Ty: He whispers " Hey mom I want to tell you a secret" then into my ear "everybody talkin bout my tight pants on."
6/12/13 Ty: "Mom, I want to live with Heavenly Father." Said in the car while listening to primary songs (I Love to See the Temple).
6/19/13 Emery: "There just a fly. I don't like flies."
Ty: "But they are nice. They don't sting, they don't bite. They don't have super powers. They're just nice." They were sitting at counter eating lunch.
6/25/13 Abby: "Yaya is going to come over tonight to babysit so Daddy and I can go out."
Ty: "Where are you going to go?"
Abby: "I don't know."
Ty: "Like Chic Fil A or Old McDonald's.... or maybe you will go to a playground.... for kids AND adults."
8/12/13 Emery: While Brinley is crying, "It's okay, I'm wiff you, I'm right here." She's so sweet.
8/26/13 Ty: "Bothering is bother someone and somebody don't like it. That's bothering." He's explaining the definition of 'bothering' to Emery while riding in the double stroller with 3 kids. Brinley (7weeks) was kicking Em's arm, and Em was saying "Heeeeeey Brin!"
9/2/13 We were on our way home from a 4 day trip to Sea World.
Pax: "Ty, what was your favorite part of Sea World?"
Ty: "That thing that goes roun and roun that me and Emery went on."
Pax: "The merry go round?"
Ty: "Yeah!"
Pax: mumbles to me "The thing we could pay $2 for at the mall.? OK!"
Pax: "Emery, what was your favorite part of Sea World?"
Emery: "BOO!"
I just started laughing! And thought, did we just waste our money the last 4 days? Hahaha!
9/18/13 Before the kids could watch a movie, they had to clean up all the toys. We told them that, to which Ty replied, "By ourselfez?!!!!!!!!!" With a VERY concerned voice! Hahaha! He and Emery say certain words like this... they don't know the correct way to say them in plural form. Such as: ourselfez, wolfez, leafez, wavez, ...
1/17/14 Emery(3 yrs): "When am I gonna be a mom?" in annoyed voice! "I want to be a mom... It's taking too long!"
2/20/14 We were on a family walk in the neighborhood. Ty and Em were a little ahead of us riding bikes. They passed a house where a guy was polishing his car out front, and Ty said, "Hey Mister, your car sure is clean!"
3/7/14 As we were listening to the song Fixer Upper from the Frozen soundtrack, Emery was singing the words. When it came to the phrase, "So he's got a few flaws" she thought it said "he's got a few claws." We told her no, it's flaws, and she said, "No it's not! It's claws." We finally convinced her it was flaws. And she just giggled.
3/16/14 After church, Pax was getting dressed into comfy clothes, and Ty was in the bedroom hanging out with him.
Pax: "Hey why don't we get in mom and dad's bed and watch a movie?!"
Ty: "Haha yeah!!!! You sure do have some good ideas!" Then he whipped Pax with his shirt and ran off.
3/19/14 Emery was hanging out with Paxton while he was getting dressed for work. She saw him, laughed a little and said, "You look coo dad!" She says the words cool and school like coo and schoo- sounding like skew. It's so funny and cute.
3/21/14 We have a Myers family picture and a picture of our wedding day with Paxton's family both on the wall by the stairs.
Ty yelled to me, "Hey Mom, you don't like dad!"
Abby: "Yes I do! Why do you say that?"
Ty: "Come here! Come here!" waving to me to come to the stairs. "Look, daddy's not in this picture." pointing to the Myers family picture.
I explained to him that it was just my own family, and I wasn't married to daddy at that time.
Ty: "I want to marry Emery."
Abby: "You do huh?"
Ty: "Yeah, can I marry Emery?"
Abby: "No, because she's your sister. You don't marry someone in your family."
Ty: "But, you married daddy! He's our family."
Abby: "Well, we became a family when we got married. Before that, we were just friends. You have to marry a friend."
Ty: "But I really want to marry Emery!!"
Abby: "But you aren't supposed to marry your sister... you marry your friend. You can marry someone like Emery."
Ty: "Like Jaycie?"
Abby: "Yeah, she's your friend."
Ty: "Haha, yeah. But, I still just want to marry Emery."
I'll keep recording these priceless conversations and quotes by these silly, sweet kids! I know they'll love to read what they have said!!

February in a {big} nutshell
Tyzer, our super hero.
Looks like we've got Iron Man underneath Super Man.
Oh yes, he wanted to be muscular and strong, so he put the padded Iron Man suit on underneath the shirt. Sometimes he'll wear his Spider Man suit underneath jeans and a button up shirt, so he can be Peter Parker, then rip off his clothes to be SpiderMan.
He is so awesome! We love this kid.
Clean boy, hair slicked!
Ty at preschool. Practicing writing letters.
Ms. Sundi helping the kids.
We love his preschool. And he loves it too!
Emery is a very willing and good little helper when she wants to be. Ty and Em both always want to help me mop the floors. Spraying the squirt bottle and then pushing the mop around is the funnest cleaning job to do! It takes a million times longer when they do it...and I don't have the patience to let them do the whole thing. They wouldn't last either! But Emery is so anxious to grow up and be a mommy! She asks me all the time, "When am I going to be a mommy?" in an annoyed, anxious voice. Then the next day, "Am I a mommy yet? Why is it taking so looooong?" It is pretty cute. But I try to tell her that she doesn't want to grow up yet. It's way more fun to be a kid!
Em has such a silly personality. There have been multiple times where we are sitting at the counter or couch and she'll say, "Hey mom/dad - look at me!" and she'll be pulling this crazy face. We start laughing, then she'll start to laugh. She just thinks of crazy things in her mind, does them, we laugh, then she realizes that that's pretty funny, and laughs too. I just love her.She is obsessed with Frozen right now, and knows most of the words to the songs. She always pretends to be Elsa. She'll try to dress like Elsa and do her hair like her.
She loves girly things... necklaces, rings, lip gloss, shoes, PINK, sparkly things... The other day we were at the store buying a few summer clothes, and all she wanted was pink...
It's been fun to see her in primary, because she really enjoys it, and she needs to have that time away from Ty. Something separate that's just for her, and Ty has his own thing too. That's why we've signed her up for a preschool next year. Just twice a week she'll go for a few hours, but I think it will be really good for her socially, emotionally, and mentally! We are all excited!
We got a TRAMP! They absolutely LOVE it! The weather has been really nice some days, and nice enough on other days that they're out there at least 5 days a week! We'll see how long those side nets last. They're always leaning on it, and pushing off from it to run across the tramp. So far so good.
Brinley.
We all love our baby Brinley.
Her round face, big cheeks, blue eyes, long brown hair!
She is pure joy!
At the beginning of this month, she really started to master the crawling. She took her first little shuffles right before she turned 7 months, but has since mastered it.
She loves this car. It moves and plays songs and beeps a ton. Whenever she's fussy, I'll stick her in front of this car and she immediately stops crying, rocks back and forth dancing and smiles big! Funny girl.
These are some of Brinley's favorites! A bottle, stuffed animals {or babies}, and that pool toy! She LOVES that pool toy! We stole 2 of them from Yaya's and keep one on hand at all times.
She also LOVES dogs. There's Rusty in his cage below, and she crawls up and tries to reach in and touch him. He licks her fingers and she laughs! They are buddies. It's adorable. Let's hope she continues to love Rusty as she gets older. Right now she's the only one of the kids that isn't afraid of dogs not on a leash.
Poor Brinley in pain from teething. You can tell she's just miserable in these pictures. Slobber all over her shirt, watery eyes, trying to be happy, but it's just too tiring!
She has been sleeping LOTS lately.. and it's been hard sleep. Like, she's growing, teething, in pain... and she just needs quality sleep! Wish I could get that kind of sleep more often!
All 3 kids in the bath for the first time! Haha! The older 2 were so excited to bathe with Brin. They just love Brinley so much, it's so cute. They think she is the funniest and the cutest baby in the whole world! They look after her and play with her and just love her so much. Brinley can't wait to be big, but Ty and Em can't wait either! They'll all have lots of fun together!
Ty and Em got every pillow in the house and laid them all out!
Ty and Em play well together most of the time, and then they fight the rest of the time. It's funny to see where their imagination takes them. There are no limits to their imagination. When they play "family", Ty is the dad named Paxton, Em is the mom named Abby, or sometimes they'll name themselves Tyler and Emily.... very smart. Just variations of their own name. Haha! Then Paxton and I will be the kids, and Brinley is the baby of course. Or they'll pretend to be sharks, whales, snakes, dinosaurs, giants, trains, pirates, cops, super heroes, princesses, lizards, Frozen characters, bad guys, babies, scripture prophets, and I'm sure I'm missing a few others. I love their creativity. They demand our attention and participation constantly though, since we play a role in their storyline.
