December 2013

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!
Got this new tree, and made the tree skirt!

SNOW! Well, it was more like ice.  But we still got out and played in it.  We ran around in the field, jumped in the slush, and slid down our small yard on the back of a storage bin lid.  We had lots of fun, and played in the snow/ice for many days!

Brinley's first time eating solid food.  Oatmeal.  Wow, what a mess!  I've forgotten how messy it is!

Chefs in training!  They LOVE to pretend!  This is just one of many dress ups they wear!

Brin eating a bottle, and Em's baby eating a bottle. :)

Sweet Emery had a tonsillectomy about a week and half before Christmas!  Luckily, she recovered just in time for Christmas morning to eat some candy and actually enjoy the holiday.  It was a pretty rough recovery, but after about 8-9 days and almost 5 lbs lost, she was back to normal, eating normal foods.

I walked into their room and found them drawing all over their white bed with black markers!  So i got out clorox wipes and had them clean it.

We took the kids to see Frozen, their new favorite movie.  It was Emery's first time in a theatre- she LOOOVED it! Wants to go again!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Day

The day after Christmas, we went to Chandler to visit cousins!  We all had SO much fun on the farm!  Riding horses, playing outside all day long! It was a perfect day.

Sleeping bags with their names embroidered on... Brinley got a mini one too!

I don't have pictures of this, but we had a fun New Year's Eve party at our house with a few couples.  We had dinner, played games, and told stories.  We nearly missed the countdown and sparkling cider because we were chatting away.  But we made it in time to countdown from 20 seconds. :)

Goodbye 2013!  It was one of the most stressful, heart-breaking, hard, yet exciting and joyful years we have had.  Very low lows, and very high highs.  Wow- what year.  Glad it's over!  Bring on a new year!  I sure hope it's more mellow than last.
