Uhh... Ummm... Uhhh

So at BYU-Idaho every Tuesday we have a Devotional where a speaker comes from different schools, and from around the area to speak to us about religious things. Anway, the speaker today was President Young, the President of University of Utah. And the first thing Paxton noticed was that he would say Uhh and Umm A LOT! He automatically started counting how many times he said it. Here is the paper where he kept tally. If you can't read it, he said Uh or Um 210 times in a 43 minute talk. And of course, Paxton, being the accountant, had to figure out how many times a minute and second that would be. So it is 4.8 times per minute and once per 12.5 seconds! haha. So funny. At first I couldn't even listen to the talk, Pax was distracting me. AND when he pointed it out to me, that's all I could hear at first. I got over that, and it really was a good talk. Anyway, we thought it was pretty funny.
I have a basketball game tonight and a volleyball game tomorrow night! I'm so excited to be playing again! Yay!
And Paxton will be tutoring students tonight, as usual, working so hard.
SCHOOL SCHOOL- that's all we're up to now-a-days!

My newest found hobby!

I decided to start up cross stitching, crocheting, and hopefully scrapbooking. I often get bored after I get my homework finished, so I normally watch TV.. but a week ago Saturday I went out and bought this little kit for cross-stitching. So I got it Saturday and finished it in two days. Once I start doing something like that, I don't ever want to stop. Anyway, so here is my beautiful little creation: I stitched the leaves, and tied on the strings and everything. Cute eh? I like it. Hopefully I'll get more cute patterns, and materials for scrapbooking. We'll see...

Who's This Guy?

You're probably thinking, "HOW DID HE GET SO SUPER BUFF" Well, the secret: Weight Lifting class Mondays and Wednesdays. We actualy both have a weight lifting class Mondays and Wednesdays. It's a lot of fun and keeps us healthy and in shape. What he really needs to work on is that haircut of his. He says that he's only 155 lbs. dripping wet but he's still pretty wiry.

Date Night

Our Date Night consisted of eating out at Winger's, and driving up to the Rexburg temple and checking out it's development.
Pax took a picture of me with the dessert bowl, well because I ate mostly all of it. Pax had probably 1/3 and I had the rest! I can't help it, I LOVE sweets!

Here's Pax rollin up his sleeves to dig into Winger's STICKY FINGERS! Yummmm..
oops- eyes are closed.
Well, there's our date night. This was about a month ago. Better late than never eh??
LOVE YA'LL!

Hittin the Books, Rockin our Socks!

Well, hello everyone. Just wanted to post some fun pics of us and tell you what's been keeping us super busy! We're both tutoring Accouting(Pax) and Anatomy/Physiology(Abs) like crazy- working about 12,13,15,18 hours a week! And then on top of that, we work on our own homework for our classes. We stay busy, get exhausted, cranky, giggly, and silly- as you can see above. We still have fun and make time for eachother! It's so great!
Now these next few pictures illustrate Paxton's goofiness- I LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!
He looks like he's having a rough time with homework, but oh no, he's not. He fakes it because he's so humble. He's such a smarty farty pants! And I mean EVERY word of that! He knew I was taking a pic of him, so of course he can't smile like normal, but he makes painful faces...
aww.. poor boy looks like he wants his mommy! Ann, where are you?!!

And the following are pictures of me being goofy. This first one is a result of the long, exhausting, 12 hours days on campus everyday! We both are pooped by nighttime. Gotta love it eh?
Watch out- i might fling it at ya!
....overwhelmed...

Here we are, ready for church, looking ridiculously good-looking!!! We like to take pictures of us because we can't get enough of ourselves in the mirror. We like to see us on camera too! ha. I'm kidding.

Alrighty, well, hope all is well with everyone else- we miss ya'll! We'll try and keep update with our busy lives!
LOVE YA

It's Dragging...

Well hello. It is a quiet, relaxed Sunday afternoon, Pax is taking a nap, which is probably what I should do too, but I am sitting in the rocking recliner, updating our lovely blog.
Paxton taught the Priesthood lesson today in church, I got to hear some of it this morning. While I was making yummy biscuits for breakfast, he was rehearsing his lesson outloud. He made a powerpoint for the lesson- which shows how organized and prepared he was for it. He is always like that- i love it.
Meanwhile, we are both in school, almost done. It has only been 1 1/2 weeks into school and I'm already wishing it were nearing to the end. I think now that since we've known what our plans are-- to move to Dallas in April and graduate, I've been anticipating it for so long now-- i just want it to happen. I guess I should just enjoy the time in Rexburg when i can, but it's kind of hard to enjoy it here when it's -15 degrees outside! BUURRRRRRR!
We actually went to this cool show- a magician/entertainer came to the school- he was called The Great Kaplan. Anyway, he was very entertaining. He juggled with regular balls, huge bean bags, bowling pins- with a sword balanced on his forehead, and he also juggled ping pong balls in his mouth. It was hilarious. It was entertaining. He did a few magic tricks which were pretty obvious-- some we still didnt know how he did it, but it was funny because Paxton was trying to figure out everyone and wasnt very impressed with most of them.. cuz they were so obvious. This reminds me- has anyone seen The Illusionist? It's a bit like the Prestige but different though. We saw it last night and liked it lots. There were lots of magic tricks in that one.
Anyway, we love you all and miss you!!

Christmas Day!!

Merry Christmas!!! We are picture taking fools now that we have our new digital camera (Thanks MOM!!!). We have got to be the most spoiled couple in the world, we got everything you can think of. Anyway we spent Christmas with Abby's family in Idaho Falls and had an awesome time!

This is Abby, Her Mom, and Her Sister Katie

This is Abby stretching after a hard day of opening presents

This is the new outfit Abby got me for Christmas, no, we did not get this picture out of GQ magazine

This is Abby and her nephew Andrew, as you can see he had his fair share of chocolate

The day after Christmas we headed back to Rexburg and opened more presents that my mom sent us from Texas (I told you we are spoiled). This was Abby's favorite by far, a new purse!!

This was one of my favorite presents my mom sent me, some new house slippers!

We really had an awesome Christmas and we want everyone to know that we LOVE YOU SO MUCH and missed you if we didn't get to see you!!!

This is the front of the house, yes that is snow for all you Texans.

This is thier living room, all of those windows overlook the river, pretty cool huh?

This is the basement where their theatre room is going to be.

Finally, here is the shed and the picture below was taken from their backyard.

And now the after shot of Paxton's hair. Our great friend Mike has done an EXCELLENT job and we are all happy now. Too bad Pax gives cheesy smiles to the camera. Oh well- what can you do.. you've all seen him in person... he's a cutie.
Now... we are waiting now for our friend Mike to come and cut Paxton's hair because it's getting way long... and I wanted to take pictures of him before he cut it and show everyone because it's just so cute. We also parted his hair in some of the pics . And the pics at the end are from awhile ago- he sent them to me in an email and it just made me laugh so hard. Even now i look at these pics and just laugh so hard. I love them- he's so cute. Haha.
hahahaha... love the alfalfa in the back... he's so goofy.
Now here he is with his hair just down- no part... without gel. I think it looks cute.
I LOVE THIS ONE- it just makes me laugh everytime.
HAHAHA. i love this one too.
Aww. My cute little Pax- looks like it's his first day of school.
Is that an evil face or what? I just love it because he looks like such a dork with his parted hair, but he looks like a serial killer too!

Christmas is almost here!!

So, yesterday, Saturday was the FIRST chance we've both had to go Christmas shopping!! Christmas is here in like 2 weeks and we just barely started our shopping. That's so aweful. I absolutely love this time of year- shopping for all the family and friends. It's so fun to find gifts you know they're all gonna love. And it's just sad that we've had such a late start. Pax and I went yesterday and got ALL of our shopping done-- in like 10 hours! Amazing. We also did our own grocery shopping in there too. We're pretty good. ha- and exhausted. We were just so tired and sick of shopping and sick of eachother and sick of making decisions- it was more stressful than my usual Christmas shopping experience. But we're done now for the most part and a lot of stress is off our back.
Now Paxton just has to deal with finals this coming week and then he's done for the semester- til January 4th for the Winter semester to start. And I'll be taking classes also! I recently got a job on campus as a tutor for Biology 264- Anatomy and Physiology. I'm way excited. It'll be really good for me because I need to refresh a lot on that class. It'll be fun. I also hopefully will be working in the Fitness Center(gym) next semester. If so, i will be super super busy with all my hard classes, work, and tutoring, and everything else. It should be fun though.
This weekend we're going to SLC for Ryan and Jill's big WEDDING!! Yay.. we're so excited. It has come up so quickly- i remember when Jill was counting down the days and she was at like 87 or something. haha- time flies. Probably not for them though- haha- i remember being engaged- well and it wasn't that long ago but it sure was fun.
Anyway, all is well here in the Hobson home in Rexburg. We're excited for our first Christmas together and hope all goes well with everyone else.
-Peaceout-

My Baptism

Today in Sunday School, the teacher asked everyone to take out a sheet of paper and write about their baptism day and their feelings. I went a little further and wrote about some other things in addition to my baptism that are important to me. I wanted to post it so anyone could read it if they would like. It's really neat to look back on our lives and think about everything we have been through. Hope you enjoy!!

__________________________________________________
My Baptism

I was baptized on September 28, 1998 when I was 16 years old. When I was around 14 I became very curious about religion and following God. My best friend was Mormon and taught me a lot but I was not sure if I believed everything in their religion. I went to other churches (Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, etc.) to look at what they had to offer. I liked them, but I did not feel like either was the “right church”. I then decided to go with my friend to the Mormon Church. Right when I walked in the doors I felt an overwhelming peace and comfort. The members came to greet me and tell me that I was welcome. As I listened to what was being taught it answered many questions that the other religions could not answer. The doctrine that was taught to me felt like someone was handing me the missing piece of the puzzle that I had been searching for (ex. three degrees of glory, work for the dead, and eternal families). Once I had that missing piece I felt complete and confident in my life and my purpose here on earth.
I was baptized after I received the missionary discussions by my best friend, Brian Tony Rawlins. My family and many friends were there and the spirit was strong. Since my baptism I have received the Gift of the Holy Ghost, received the Melchizedek Priesthood (December 24, 2000), baptized my best friend Jacob Swanson, served as a Stake Missionary, served a full-time mission in the San Fernando, California Spanish-Speaking Mission (September 12, 2001-2003), attended BYU-Idaho with an accounting major and business minor, and I was sealed to my wife Abby Elizabeth Myers (October 6, 2006). My life has been greatly blessed and I often feel humbled when I think about everything God has done for me when I feel so undeserving. I was born into a loving family that has always cared for me and looked out for me, and who are always happy and positive about life. All my life I have always felt that the Lord is watching over me, looking out for me, and encouraging me to do what I need to do on earth so I can return to His presence after this life.

Will it ever stop???

This is a picture of my poor baby on Davy Jones (our couch, I will explain the name later) who has been sick for two weeks now! She has had mostly flu symptoms (sore throat, cough, fever, congestion, nausea, muscle aches, puffy eyes, etc.) and is always tired. At first, we thought she was pregnant! But we went to the doctor a few days ago and found out that it was just a viral infection. They usually take about two weeks before they leave your system so were hoping she will be better soon. And yes, I have been taking good care of her: feeding her, giving her pills, making her hot chocolate, and telling her she's still beautiful (I really mean it). I did tell her I wanted my wife back the other day but that is neither here nor there.
So why do we call our couch Davy Jones? Well, we bought our couch at Deseret Industries (The D.I.), and for those who don't know the D.I. is like a goodwill. Anyway, we thought we got a good deal on this couch until we noticed all the chest hair in between and under the seat cushions!! I am not even joking chest hair everywhere, at least we hope it was chest hair... Anyway, so after we cleaned it all up we gave it the name Dead Man's Chest and it just evolved to Davy Jones somehow. So that's the story. Even though Abby is sick we are still having fun and had a terrific Thanksgiving with her family!! We went to Hamer, Idaho (her aunt's house) and had a lot of turkey, rode 4-wheelers, and sat in the hot-tub. Her Uncle is a potato farmer and they have a lot of land and a lot of potatoes, in fact, we got to take home a big box of Real Idaho Potatoes!! Peace out

Yeah Right, She's the weirdo!

Okay, so I am sure that you guys all read the last posting that my wife put on our blog. She explained how weird I am, etc..... Well, I am here to tell you that she is more weird than I am. Reason #1: She has this weird idea in her head that were not "together" enough because she works and I am at school a lot. That is fair that she thinks that, but when it really gets weird is when she thinks that were not "together" enough even when we are actually physically together! For example, last night we were lying in bed together and cuddling, and in a voice like a pouting 5 year old she says: "Baby, I want to be with you." (No, not that kind of be with me). I said "baby, what are you talking about, how much more can we be together? We are cuddling!" She laughed and realized she was being a weirdo. Reason#2: She drools more than anyone I know, sometimes I feel like I am swimming in a pool when I accidently touch her pillow. For example, I woke her up from a nap today and I looked at her pillow and (I am not even joking) there was a drool spot the size of a large grapefruit. The funny thing was, is that she had only been napping for about 45 minutes. Later tonight she asked me "Baby, I don't understand, how do you not drool?" I laughed. Reason #3: She whimpers in her sleep. It is the wierdest thing but every 15 minutes it sounds like someone is about to break her arm because she whimpers in her sleep. The first few nights we were married I thought something was wrong, when we would wake up in the morning I would say "hey were you not feeling well last night?" She would say "what are you talking about, I slept great last night." So apparently she has no clue that she makes these sounds, not to mention she talks in her sleep, usually taking pizza orders from customers. Anyway, I love her and could not ask for a better wife!!

Lovin and Livin

Well, another week gone by, and we've been married over a month now! It goes by so fast. It is coming to the end of another semester for Paxton, meaning only ONE more semester till he graduates, and only one more semester till we move to Dallas! Yikes! It's comin up quickly. We both have registered for our Winter semester classes and at least I can't wait till it starts! It's gonna be way busy, but a lot of fun to start up again. I have lots of pretty hard classes that will totally keep me busy, plus a job, plus Paxton! How do I do this? Who knows.. but we'll figure it out.
So lately I've been realizing what a super weird husband I have. He is just SO random with the outbursts of singing/rapping/monologues/one-liners/and who knows what! And I remind him how weird he is probably everyday! But I sure do love it- I was thinking what it would be like without his weird-ness, and life would just be way too boring. For a festive thought: I am very thankful for my random weird adorable husband, Paxton Hobson!

Ciao*

More PICS

The cute dip pose- I got a little surprised, happy, excited, or something!!

Here are even more pics Heather sent us for our blog from the Dallas reception! We love em and want to develop and frame some of them- they're cute.

Here is MY cake from the reception! It's SO yummy and SO beautiful! It is white chocolate cake( i think) with cream cheese frosting!! YUMMMMM!

Here we are ready to drive away in Steve's Mazda Miata! It was fun to ride in the car home to Paxton's mom's house on the highway. We got tons of honks and stares and laughs! My dress was so poofy it took up my whole side of the car. Good thing i didn't drive. And check out the big smile in the corner of the pic. Cool Rawl! We're glad you're happy for us! :)

Feeding eachother the cake- we made promises we wouldn't make a mess and shove it in eachother's faces- it's too messy. Didnt wanna stain the dress and tux! But after I took that bite of cake, it was SO good I wanted more... but had to wait.

The hand pose- don't our rings look good!? :) And look at the BEAUTIFUL bouquet!
