36

I am 36 weeks along now with baby girl. It is getting so close!
The first picture was taken in the afternoon, and this 2nd picture was taken at night. I swear my belly grew in those hours. It looked and felt bigger!

While I am anxiously awaiting this baby's arrival, I am really enjoying the one-on-one time I have with Ty. He is at a really fun age, and is so sweet and silly and keeping me active!

Here are just a couple pictures from our family photo shoot with Heather. If you didn't check them out from my previous post, here is the link again to all of them. (A few people told me they didn't notice the link.)

Love his big toe!

pants on the ground

Ty is a crazy boy. He is always going going going.
"Hey Ty, your pants are falling down!"

It seems that Ty is soaking in everything we try to teach him. He knows where his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears are, and points to them on his face. We've been rubbing my belly and saying "baby", so now he thinks his tummy is called "baby" too. Uh-oh. Messed up on that one.

He loves to read books. He brings me books to read all the time. And when I close the book, he gets so mad and grabs it from me, then gives it back to start over. I've read him the same book 8 times in a row. He wanted more - I was done. Sorry Ty. His favorite books right now are My First Truck Board Book, The Monster at the End of This Book, another Truck book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Open the Barn Door.

Ty is obsessed with shoes. He always has to have his shoes on. Whenever his closet door is open, he'll pull out a shoe and chase me down asking me to put it on. And if he ever finds one of our shoes, he wants us to put them on.
bed head
YaYa got him these cool sunglasses at the beginning of summer, but he never wanted to wear them til now. He thinks it's so cool. It hurts his head though, so he doesn't wear them for too long.
He is still into trucks and tractors! His most frequent word he uses is "tractor." He calls all of his cars, trucks, and tractors "tractor."
He also loves being outside! We go on a walk every day, and play outside mostly every morning. He just walks up and down the sidewalks, onto our neighbors walk-ways, into the grass, and up and down our steps, pushing his tractor. Thankfully, the weather is getting cooler, as in mid 70s, so it's a bit more bearable for me to be out there being 8-almost 9 months prego! Although, the walking and bending and lifting is not getting any more bearable.
So about that- I have 27 days left! Yipeee! It couldn't come any faster. I've been having contractions for the last 4 weeks, and getting bigger and more uncomfortable. Contraction coming now....
I never had contractions this early or frequently with Ty, so it's making me hopeful that our little girl will come early! In fact, I never noticed any contractions until the night before Ty was born, so this is really early for me.
I need to take a belly shot I suppose. I haven't taken one in over a month, but I sure am getting large. And I'm thinking I might've started waddling a little bit. Maybe? I can't tell. Oh the measures we go through to get our little babes here. It's all worth it. Just wish it'd come quicker.

walkin shoes

Today it's really really rainy. And I had to go to the grocery store today, so when I dressed Ty for the day, I put on some warmer clothes. The rain did not make the weather much cooler, but just to keep him dry. It made me really excited for fall. I love the cooler weather, Halloween and pumpkins, Thanksgiving, and the colors of autumn. So much to look forward to... including our anniversary and a new baby girl!

Well, since Ty has learned to walk, he walks all over the place. YaYa took Ty and I to get him some new shoes! He got 2 really cool pairs, and loves to put them on. Thank You YaYa! He is still a little wobbly with the shoes on, compared to bare foot, since he can't use his big toe as a stabilizer. His BIG big-toe. Anyway, he loved the hoodie I put on him today. He didn't want to take off the hood. Then with his new shoes on, man he was having a blast! He kept looking at his shoes while he was walking.
What a stud.

move it or lose it

Ty was walking a lot last Thursday, but after that day he didn't try to walk anymore, until last night! I got some good videos, but I'm having issues uploading them. They're so cute. He has been walking even more today! Last week, he was pretty fussy - I think from teething even though there are no teeth to show for it - but I think that stopped him from trying to walk more. He has been a lot happier lately. It's so fun to see him walking and get all excited. He tries over and over and over again to walk and never gets bored of it. Silly boy. Since it was such a nice afternoon, we walked around outside. He was walking up and down the sidewalk, and trying to walk up & down the stairs. I'll have to keep a close watch when he does that, because he has no fear. He has a little walker he has been using to walk around the house. Usually he goes around all his toys and steers really well, but lately he just rams right into stuff, including my heels and toes. He thinks it's hilarious when he does it, and that he's trying to chase me or something.

Ty and Pax got haircuts from me last week too! Ty hated getting it cut. The sound of the clippers scared him I think. So there are a few long strands here and there, but who's looking closely? He looks so much older, with short hair and walking around the house.
before
after - i still kept it pretty long. I was too scared to go any shorter. I loved his long curls behind his ears. But after his cut, and seeing the before pictures, I realized how out of control his hair was! He needed it.
We put Baby Einstein on to calm him down. Works every time.

This was the 2nd time I had tried cutting Paxton's hair. I think I did a pretty good job this time around. 1st time? Not so much. I tried cutting it when we were just married, going to school in Idaho. So- almost 4 years ago. It's taken that long for him to ask me to cut it again. I've definitely improved since then, with no practice at all! Sweet! And I will only get better at it right? It'll sure save us some $moo-lah$

I had a Dr. appointment today for baby #2. She is growing normally, and has a good heartbeat. Everything looks good! I'll get a sono in 2 weeks, so we'll get to see this little girl again! I'm excited. I remember with Ty you could tell more of what he looks like, so I'm curious to see if she'll look similar to Ty-man. I have just about 7 weeks to go! Wish it'd come sooner. It is just too hot, and I'm too uncomfortable. It could always be worse though. I've been super tired, but at least I haven't been sick at all. We're excited to meet our little girl!

I absolutely love the faces Ty makes. And I caught a few on camera. He is always playing with trucks and tractors, and making sound effects for them. What a boy.

kinda blurry, but funny face
he smiles like this to us all the time - the biggest smile he can make
i thought this was cute- looking at the picture of Jesus.

Walkin'

Alright, now it's more like 20+ steps!! He is lovin' it!

almost there

Ty is trying so hard to walk. He wants to so badly. He has taken up to 5 steps at a time. He gets in moods where he wants to try over and over and over again, and thinks it's so fun and hilarious. He is going to be walking within the next month I'm sure! Yikes!

Pictures

Paxton's sister Heather did a FANTASTIC job taking our family pictures over the weekend. We went to our neighborhood park & lake near the clubhouse to take them, and I think it served as a beautiful background.
I'll be creating a big collage of these pictures on our wall soon. They turned out great. We are so happy with them!
Check them out here.

Thank You so much Heather!!

If you are ever needing some good photos, contact Heather!! Her info is on the home page of that site. She does a great job!

She also took Ty's newborn pictures, which are on that link as well. Can't wait for her to do them again of our baby girl in 2 months!!!

Party!

Finally, for the update on Ty's 1st Birthday Party! I have been busy sewing baby girl's crib bedding, so my mind has been focusing on that. I still need to sew the skirt, but the bumpers are done! What a relief. Once that's all set up, I'll be sure to take pictures of the final product! I'm excited about it!
SO, Ty's party was so much fun! We had family come over to celebrate with cake, ice cream, and presents! First of all, Ty got so spoiled with all his gifts! He got loads of BOOKS! A few stylin' new outfits, a couple toy trucks that teach numbers, colors, animals, etc, a monster tractor and a castle playground for outside, which is still in our living room!!! He loves it all! He loves to read and flip through all the new books. He loves to climb up and slide down the castle playground, and loves to push around his trucks and tractor! He has been one happy boy these days! THANK YOU to everyone who gave such wonderful gifts! They're all perfect!
One hand on each truck!

After opening presents, we moved on to the CAKE! It was a battle getting Ty to sit down to eat cake because he wanted to play with all of his new toys. He's crying in some of pictures- poor guy. He didn't know what was next!!
His little "smash cake"
He wasn't too sure what to do with the cupcake, but with a little bit of YaYa's help, he figured it out.

He would not take his left hand off of a part of the cupcake. He left it there until he finished everything around him. We had to physically lift his hand up and wash it off once he was done. He didn't move it. It was so funny.

I made a car cake for the party, since Ty LOVES cars and trucks! I'm not showing any close up shots-- it's definitely a first-time car cake for me, with many mistakes. But I had fun making it. I had tried to make it red frosting, but ended up with pink. After wasting a whole tub of frosting, I decided to go for an easy color- blue.
Ty had such a fun night! I'm sure he loved that his cupcake was his dinner!
After our little party, we went to Ann & Steve's to swim in the pool and barbeque some food. Everyone had a great time!! Thanks for the memorable 1st Birthday Party!

And finally, a belly shot at almost 30 weeks. Oh yuck. I'm done being pregnant. This girl is SO active. She keeps me up at night with her movements and kicks, besides being kept up from peeing and just having a huge belly to deal with. 10 more weeks! That's it-- and hopefully SOONER!

Ty had his 1 year check up today. He is officially a toddler. The Dr. said he is such a friendly, sociable boy. He is developing normally and is very healthy!

Height: 31.75 inches - 90%
Weight: 21 lbs 15 oz - 25%

He is a really picky eater, and I've had a hard time switching to whole milk. He won't take a bottle at all anymore- even when I put mostly formula in. He won't eat a lot of what we are eating for dinner. He gets sick of the food I'm feeding him, so he won't eat a lot of one thing at a time. Any help for picky eaters would be great!

Ty doesn't like tissue paper or anything like it. So at the Dr.'s office, he didn't like being set down on the table with the paper they always have rolled out. Made for a little battle. He also didn't want to open his presents because of all the tissue paper. Silly kid.

He is teething AGAIN! We just got over his 2 front teeth, but he has been extra fussy and drooly. Shots at the Dr and teething combo does not make for a very fun day. But I still love him. Take a look at these pictures. More funny faces of Ty.

sneak peek

This just about sums up Ty's 1st Birthday Party tonight! It was so much fun, and Ty had a blast too!!!
I'll show more pictures and details soon. I've got to get some rest first.

Ty is 1

Our baby is 1 year old today!

It's pretty amazing how fast the time flies. He is such a sweet, funny, smart, adorable, loving boy and we absolutely love him to pieces. There have definitely been good days and bad days, but it is all worth it! I can't imagine life without him.

At 1 year he:
says daddy, doggy, truck, thank you, mama, Yaya, hi, bye bye.
can stand by himself without holding onto anything.
has taken 2 little steps, then fell into my arms.
LOVES trucks, doggies, stuffed animals, being tickled by Mommy, being chased, kisses & hugs, when Daddy comes home from work.
eats almost anything. Loves his fruits, yogurt, breads. Not a fan of green beans, cottage cheese, plain potato, or eggs.
likes to go on walks.
claps when he hears other people clapping.
loves the Baby Einstein DVDs.
imitates any sounds, faces or words that are said/done to him.
and probably so much more.

He keeps me busy during the day. He is always on the go, and never likes to sit still. He loves to walk around while we hold on to his hands, or he uses his little walker. He is getting so close to walking! He is such a fun little man. WE LOVE YOU TY! Happy 1st Birthday!

We are having a birthday party this Saturday, so more pictures to come of his party and cake and presents!!!

Happy Birthday!!

Hey, this is Paxton. As most of you know, it's Abby and I's birthday today!! I know that I never post anything on the blog, but I wanted to get on and tell Abby how much I appreciate and love her. She treats me so well, supports me, and makes me laugh more than I could ever ask for. She is such a great mom to Ty and is handling being pregnant again very well.

Today, Abby and Ty surprised me and came to visit me at work. Not only that, but she brought my favorite: Dr. Pepper and 2 Snickers Bars. I was so excited, but it was so fun to see them during the day. After work, my mom and Steve took us to Macaroni Grill for dinner. It was really good and we both took home leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Thanks Mom & Steve!!

Anyway, Ty's 1st birthday is coming up on Thursday so we are excited about that too. Love you Abby!
