Update...

This is Paxton. We have a bunch of pictures over the last month of cool stuff we did that I wanted to put on the blog. Enjoy...

Ty being crazy

Ready for winter

Thanksgiving at YaYa's

Right after Thanksgiving dinner we drove to Louisiana to spend Thanksgiving/Christmas with my Dad. It was really good to see him. He rented out a Bed & Breakfast on the Natchitoches River for the entire family over the weekend. So all the aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. met up and we had a great weekend together. Here are some pics of the B&B:

Dining room where we all ate breakfast in the morning

Back patio

We all had our separate rooms so it was super nice. Ours had a library in it!!

They had a Holiday Fireworks show about a block from our B&B on the river. They had all these shops and places to eat on the square where we stayed. We ate seafood the first night and then sushi the second.

My Dad owns a scrap yard and we always go out there so we can break windows out of cars and play around. Ty loved seeing all the tractors.

Christmas Time!
Abby loves Christmas. I think she would prefer to listen to Christmas music year around if other people didn't think she was weird. Every time I come home from work the Christmas station is on. Abby put up the tree and decorated it. She will never brag about herself but I will. She is seriously amazing at making different things and being creative. I don't know how she does it.

Emery is really starting to become alert to the things around her. She is smiling and even laughing. She loves watching Ty play and stare at the Christmas tree lights. She is also doing quite a bit of long division, which I heard is early for her age.

Last night, Abby told me she was really tired and wanted to sleep on the couch so she could have an uninterrupted night sleep since Emery is sleeping in our room. Of course, the night I am responsible for Emery she keeps me up all night long. She was grunting, whining, and kind of snoring in her sleep. At 3:30am I finally had enough and took her in with Abby, and went back to bed. Newborns are crazy. It's funny how I forgot that.

But since Abby is a stay-at-home mom she should be the one who takes care of the baby at night right? Or am I just being a typical guy?? I don't think I am being unreasonable on this one. This is a constant debate at the Hobson home. I would appreciate some comments on this...

Ty loves baby Emery. He gives her the blanket, pacifier, and likes playing with her feet. I can tell he is excited for her to get bigger. Ty had strep throat these last few days but he is feeling better now. Well, thats about it. Abby's parents are coming for Christmas so we are excited.

Ohhhh Paxton, no she should not be the one to be up with the baby. I'm not just saying that cause that's what I feel i should say. We, as mommas, are soooo tired anyway but night time is even worse. That should for sure be a trade off when we are tired!
She is adorable guys. Can't wait to see her soon.

Just be glad you can't feed her :) I had to stop nursing so Colton is bottle fed. Chris has been informed that he is now doing every other night with Colton. I think he's gained a new appreciation for how much night feedings suck. So yeah, 'round here mom and dad trade nights. . I think a dad taking an occasional night is a great service, cause waking up every night for MONTHS is just awful.

Thanks for all the pics,,,I love seeing my sweet grandangels!!! The trip to Louisiana was so much fun, I feel so blessed to be able to spend time with all the family for such fun times. And Paxton, sorry but I don't think it is too much to have you take turns with Abby on getting up with the baby at night. Sometimes no sleep can get to you after a while....I know! And yes Abby is amazing with all her creative ideas and things she does and I don't mind bragging either..You are both wonderful people and great parents,,,,,just like your mother!!!!!

Oh no you didn't... :)

You should definitely take turns being up with baby!! I had to stop nursing, so my hubs takes the early shift (from 8 to 1) while I sleep then I take over while he sleeps. Neither one of us gets too exhausted and it works out great! Being a stay at home mom is often more exhausting than working outside of the home... especially with more than one kiddo! Abby will love you (even more than she already does) forever if you take your turn every once in a while.

Emery is such a cutie, and so is Ty as always. I love his shirt on Thanksgiving... seriously too cute!

Holy crap, Paxton. I'm going to have to make Chase call you. Otherwise I'm just going to be writing death threats and obscenities in the comments section of this post.
Abby, you can come sleep over here.

KIDDING.
But seriously, Pax. Taking some nights every now and then is good for the soul. Plus it will make Abby a happy camper. And who doesn't want that?
Cutie patootie kiddos! I need to get my hands on Emery soon:)

Because she is a stay-at-home mom gives her more reason she SHOULD NOT do all the night time duties as well. Especially if she is a nursing mom too! We need our rest...helps maintain a good milk supply, and peace in the home :)
*Happy wife, happy LIFE

Think of how it will negatively affect you if Abby is with the kids ALL day and up ALL night! It won't just affect her, I promise :)

Ty and Emery are SO cute! I hope we can get together again soon and hang out.

Paxton! Tsk...tsk... You should give Abby a break at least 2 nights a week (I'm being cheap but realistic). You get to go to work and veg out during the downtime/lunch breaks. Abby gets no such thing!!! A couple of nights per week won't kill you, but a tired Abby might! LOL!!!
