Happy Birthday to our sweet adorable Emery! She is 2! We love her SO SO much! She is one crazy little girl. Every day we look at her and giggle because she is just a silly, crazy, care-free beautiful girl! I am so grateful to have had her so close to Ty, so they can be such great friends and siblings.
It's hard to tell what she likes, because she follows Ty around everywhere! But what I have noticed she likes are books, blankets, singing, music, Mulan, kitties, dogs, wrestling with Daddy, swimming, balls coloring with markers, and her mommy! Ok, so there quite a few things she likes, but I don't notice it as much because she is playing with cars, and pretending to be batman or the hulk, and doing other boyish things... but I love it. It seems she's not a super girly girl, BUT she does love her bracelets, shoes, and bags. Ok, what do I know... she's still figuring out what she likes. I won't make assumptions until she's older! Until then, I will enjoy every single day with her! She is my sweet baby girl! I love you Emery! Happy 2nd Birthday!
Now, Ty is past the cars and trucks stage, and now LOVES his super heroes, especially Spider Man!! Yaya gave him his Halloween costume this year - the Spiderman costume... and he has been wearing it every single day! I'm afraid it's going to fall apart before Halloween comes. He has that thing on as much as possible. I make him take it off when he eats, and that's about it. We go on walks, play out front, and play inside with it on. He says that when he gets big he wants to be Spider Man. He imagines spider webs everywhere, saying he made them. He loves watching the old school Spider man video on Youtube that sings the theme song. And now he runs around the house singing it, making up his own words. I mean, he sounds smart because he rhymes, and uses the words radioactive blood! :) These are usually his lyrics.
Spider man, Spider man, doing things a spider can.
He can jump. He can play. He's so fast. He's so cool.
He is strong, listen bud. He's got radioactive blood.
Look out, Here's come the Spider Man!
I love it.
He has a huge Spider man coloring book that he has with him always. He doesn't color in it, just looks at the picture on the front and poses like him throughout the book. One time, he had me do one of the poses, while he was doing another one. And we just sat there.... posing. Haha! So funny! That's usually his bed time book. I just make up a story, and he always loves it.
The first time he got his costume, he put it on at Yaya's. He stood in front of the mirror forever, looking at himself, smiling, but trying not to because he was trying to be humble about it or something! Haha! He couldn't peel his eyes away from himself! He was just too cool! It was so funny.

He likes to do the game where you change faces as you move your hands up and down over your face... above are 2 different faces. He is hilarious!

Ty and Emery love each so much! Of course they are together 24/7, so they've got to learn to love each other... but it's so sweet to see them play together. There are bad moments every single day, but there are lots of good, sweet moments too, that make it all worth it!
Ty will often rub Emery's back when she's wallowing around on the ground, which she does a lot. They will hold hands when crossing the street.
Ty will compliment Emery a lot. When we get ready for church, or to go anywhere, he always says, "Oooohhhh Emery you look so pretty!" Or "You look like a princess!" So cute!
I catch them playing in our closet in the corner, giggling. They've gathered all the pillows in the house and wedged them in their corner to sit, read and play together.
They are partners in crime too. They are not always playing nicely in our closet. I caught them pulling every single one of Paxton's dress shirts off the hanger! I came in to see a huge pile of his clothes, and bent and stretched hangers all over!! They went to their rooms for like 30 minutes!
I have also caught them emptying out every drawer in Emery's room... diapers, blankets, sheets, wipe cases, creams, lotions, burp cloths everywhere!!
And recently, I came upon a drawer in our bathroom pulled out and on the ground, with all it's contents all over the floor! To their rooms again they went.
Just yesterday, I was in our room cleaning. I came into the kitchen to do more cleaning, and I heard a trickling of water from their bathroom. I go in there, and the sink is flooding over onto the floor and almost to the carpet in the hallway! I know Emery is guilty, and send her to her room. I didn't learn from her past transgressions, because after 5 minutes of her in her room, I check on her. She has pulled out all the contents of her drawers for the second time that day! I'm beginning to think sending her to her room doesn't work! I need to think of something better.
And I believe Emery is the instigator with all of these mess-making games! Ty never did that when he was little like her. But the thing is, she doesn't care. I'll send her to time out, and she goes willingly. She goes to her room willingly, for the most part. Then once she's done, I talk to her about why her choice was bad, and she just looks at me with a little tiny smirk... like either she doesn't get it, or she doesn't care.
Another sweet moment though was one time Emery was lying on her tummy, throwing a little fit because she didn't want to take a nap. Ty came up to her and said, "It's okay sweetie." He then began to rub her back and sing I Am a Child of God to her! I witnessed the whole thing, and it just made me melt... That was probably my most favorite thing I had ever seen them do!
